With all the rain we have been getting here we have had to move back the date for closing ceremonies. The new date/time is June 16th at 9am.
We are trying to get all of the games played but if there is much more rain, then we are going to have to "selectively" reschedule the games.
Meaning, that if a team is in the hunt for 1st or 2nd place then their games will be rescheudled first, and if they are not, then they will be reschedued if there are enough days left in the season.
At the closing ceremonies we will be handing out 1st, 2nd and participating trophies/awards to all of the kids along with some special recognition trophies to some of our coaches.
Also, we will be announcing the selections for the All-Star teams for all age groups, so that is a little something extra for the kids.
After the closing ceremonies are over we will be conducting elections for the Board. "This is a chance for those of you that want to make changes to step up and get involved. None of us have the time but we have to make the time for the kids."
So, if you are wanting to get involved in the league, please come by and volunteer. There are many positions and just about all of them are up for re-election.
Bring your friends, bring whomever, all votes count and any vote counts. This is your kids league, if you want to make it better, you have the chance.
